My apple mini series is complete! I’m probably quite a few apples shy of a bushel, but I like the idea of calling them a bushel. This series flew by and I really enjoyed painting them, but I’m glad to be done with apples for the time being. There are only so many ways a person can think of to paint an apple. I’m sure there are many more ways I could have cut up apples, but by the time I got to this one I was running low on ideas.
I’m very happy it’s the last apple for now. I struggled with this last one, not because it was hard, but because I wasn’t all that interested in it. I ended up working on other paintings for a while before coming back and finishing this one up. I think I need to move on to some non-sphere shapes for a while.
All in all, I’m really happy with how this bushel of apples turned out. They’re stunning as a group on the wall. My husband was very disappointed when I told him I plan on selling them because he wants them on our wall. They can be yours for the low, low price of $1170 or $130 each. 😉
Yay! Nice job, especially seeing them all together.
Thank you! They look great hung all in a group.
Yes ma’am! A cornucopial bushel! Onward to carrots.
I’m so ready for the carrots.
I love seeing them all together! Great job sis!
Thank you! You need to see them in person some time.
What? No discount for a bulk order? Nice idea: presenting a simple subject as a set of images.
Here’s to carrots.
I’m sure a bulk discount could be arranged. 🙂
I love this series! I often paint apples because they are a great, basic shape and have beautiful color. Your series is very creative…I am so impressed!
Thank you! I think I may be painting more in the future for all of the same reasons as you.
