I found some tiny decorative pumpkins at the store the other day while grocery shopping and thought they’d be fun subjects. I really like the back and white photos the most. It’s interesting that you can’t really tell which pumpkins are white and which ones are orange.
Some of the photos I took with paintings in mind and even cut up one of the pumpkins to get a look inside. The one I cut up wasn’t going to make it to Halloween anyway, so I figured there wasn’t anything to lose.
I still really struggle setting up good still lifes and the simplest looking set ups take the longest amount of time. It’s interesting how difficult something that appears so simple is.
