This is the third of nine in my apple still life mini series. I can’t wait to see all nine of them together. They’d look fantastic covering a wall in my dining room. At least until they’re bought up anyway. 😉
I really enjoyed painting this one. After the last one, I really took my time with the sketch and the block in. I ended up liking the block in so much I was tempted not to finish it. I’m really glad I did finish it though because I love the finished piece. My favorite parts of this painting are the subtle glow happening on the dark side of the core, the faint reflection on the foreground, and the small pop of red.
