I have continued to experiment with using larger hog hair brushes for painting and I’m still loving the look of it. I did a few coats of paint on the rabbit, but left the background with the original block in since I liked it so much. I honestly thought I would have finished this little painting in a few days, but it ended up taking weeks. I have been…. distracted. I finished this up last night though and it was a nice little break from my current obsession.
Last month me and the hubby decided we are going to buy some land from his parents and put a house on it. Which then led to me obsessively scouring the Internet for all things home buying, decor, landscaping, foundations, home building, etc. I’m a researcher. I research until my head feels like it’s going to explode then I research a little more and take a little nap. And when I couldn’t think of anything else to research, I planned and planned. I have so many sketches and schemes and notes my husband has no idea what is what. But to be fair, all he really cares about is whether or not we can afford it and couldn’t care less about the rest so I generally don’t clue him in on all the little details.
Good luck with all your plans and house research Amber – that’s a rabbit hole right there, so it was quite appropriate that you paired this news with a painting of a bunny! Are you planning a studio space? (Silly question – of course you are!)
I didn’t even think of it that way, but you’re right about it being a rabbit hole. Silly question indeed! I’m super excited about a new studio space and I’m sure my kids will be happy to not have to share a room anymore just so I can have a studio. 😉
My studio space makes an envelope look spacious, and my kids also share a bedroom (which I think is character building). Hilariously, my husband is an architect – but this means our place is always the last to be worked on. Ah well, lucky to have what we have – so I won’t complain. All the best with your planning!
Thank you! Isn’t that always the case?
